  Prop. Jacob Obermeyer (1845-1938) was a Bavarian Jewish oriental researcher, scholar, teacher and a traveler.
  Lived in Baghdad, Iraq and Teheran, Persia there he was the teacher and educator in the house of the exiled Persian pretender Naib al-Saltana, the brother of Nasir ad-Din, Shah of Persia.
  Obermeyer taught Arabic and Persian literature
  and languages at the College of Oriental Languages in Vienna.
